The virtual reality app is developed for Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR. It is being adapted for Hololens. Finalist product of the Brasil Criativo and Inovativa Awards, it has the support of Inepac-RJ, Riotur, Rio450, Rio Criativo and Laboratório Next (PUC-RJ)
It was awarded as the best virtual reality application of 2017 by the Tela Viva Móvel Award.
The application “Cidade Antigamente” is a production by MobContent that uses virtual reality technology to transport the user to the past and show what a city was like at a certain time.
The purpose of the application is to provide an immersive and educational experience, allowing the user to learn about the history and architecture of the city in different periods. The application has several registered cities, each with different historical periods.
By using the heritage application, the user can explore the city in 360 degrees, being able to visualize the monuments, streets and buildings of the time in a realistic way. In addition, the application also offers historical information and curiosities about the city and the period in which it takes place.
