mobCONTENT, a company specializing in audiovisual creation on innovative platforms, will hold on June 2nd, at Olabi, a film club dedicated only to audiovisual works supported by virtual reality, with the help of an Oculus Rift and two Google Cardboards. The event aims to stimulate discussion about the potential for cultural and artistic creation that new equipment makes possible for audiovisual producers and encourage the establishment of a creative scenario in Brazil and Rio de Janeiro for the sector. At the event, four applications created around the world with support for the equipment will be made available to the public, with the most different languages, such as the “Evolution of Verse” app, which was shown at the last Sundance festival, and the “A Chair in a Room” app. ”, a suspenseful thriller. Capturing events in 360 degrees with virtual reality immersion will also be discussed, such as the application that displays excerpts from Paul McCartney shows.
The event will be open to 20 people, who will be selected taking into account a multidisciplinary profile, and who will be able to check out the productions in virtual reality on a rotating basis for one hour (it is estimated that each work will last an average of three minutes). At the end, a round of discussion will open on the potential of the medium. Registration can be made on the Olabi website. The event is free and takes place at Olabi, in Botafogo.
